Sterling Reef Hotel / Condominium Review

When I was in Panama City I stayed at the Sterling Reef. for my Labor Day vacation. It was really nice and I had a great deal. The staff were friendly especially the security guard, but the office is only open until 5 p.m. They offer a garage for parking. They offer free dvd rentals from the office and you get 15 percent off certain restaurants too. The room we had was a condo, so the house keepers do not come everyday like in a  hotel. Our room had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony, it reminded me a lot of the Caribbean for there are sugar white sands and the ocean is really blue and clear. the ocean is so clear in fact you can see all these really cool fish. It also is very calm, and warm, perfect for kids. But if you like to surf/boogie board in rough waves I would say you might be a little bored. Sterling Reef also advertises a private beach, but its not that private. There is a little gate that you need to know the code to but any one can easily get around that. There also are all these blue chairs and umbrellas but you have to pay for them. That is unfortunate because they take up most of the Sterling Reef's private beach so you sort of have to buy them. I think that those staying at Sterling Reef should get a deal because it is super expensive.
Balcony View

and the ocean could also be seen from the master bedroom which had a king size bed.
Master Bedroom

The master bedroom was really nice it had a king size bed, sheets were clean. It also had its own TV, roomy closet, and drawers. It also has an adjacent bathroom.
Kitchen

The kitchen was very nice, fridge, oven, microwave, blender, dishes, dishwasher, ext. There also is a washer and dryer in the hallway behind the kitchen. It has its own paper towels dish soap ext. It was also nicely decorated with granite table tops and the like.
Little Bedroom

I stayed in the smaller bedroom, it was smaller but comfortable. It had a TV too, but much smaller than the other two. It also had a closet and drawers.
Little Bathroom

The little bathroom was the same as master bathroom except smaller. This is the only room I have complaints about. Toilet was sort of broken and didn't always want to flush, and the water in the sink didn't get hot. Also, the water in general does not stay hot for long probably because of a small water heater. I did not see any bugs on my stay, which was surprising for Florida, except for one lone silverfish in this bathroom.
Living room

The living room was roomy with a couch and table. The tv was big and had a dvd player and speakers. I really loved the decorating, and furniture. This was probably one of the nicest places I've ever stayed.

This chair was really cool I want it!!! All in all the stay was fantastic, I would give it 5 stars and if given the opportunity I would definitely stay again.
Everyone had a fantastic time. My time was good, but I got all sun burned and looked like a lobster. :(

Pier Park / Kilwins Panama City Beach

I just went on vacation in Panama City Florida. I had a surprisingly good time, usually I don't like the beach I'm more of a metropolitan person but this time it was cool. The best part was this HUGE outside shopping mall(bigger than some I've been to in California). It had really cool shops, granted many were for crappy beer pong booty short souvenirs and lobster magnets. There are a lot of restaurants to, like Margaritaville for example. (I ate there it was good). Its so big you probably couldn't see all the stores in one day. There was an Ulta there I was not impressed. The really cool thing is that there not boring red brick stores that look all cookie cutter the same. They sort of look like colorful beach houses. They were soooo beautiful, truly a delightful shopping experience.

Pier Park
This was taken right in front of Kilwins. They are a fudge/icecream shoppe that considers themselves "famous" enough to charge 4 dollars for a cone. I think there whole pitch is that they try to seem like an old timey icecream parlor which contrasts other establishments like TCBY. The icecream is really good, but the staff is rather cold and treats you like a criminal. Not the "Kilwins Experience" as noted on the website. The fudge and candy is delicious though, and everyone I gave souvenirs to said it was good as well.

Fashion Forecasting

One of my few talents is that I have a knack for fashion forecasting. I predicted Rompers, and Highwaisted jeans as fads and do you know what the next one is going to be? Lederhose/suspender style skirts like the girl on the bottom left.
Im sensing embroidery too.  That and I REALLY want this pattern, it's just to cute for words. It doesn't look very complicated maybe I'll make one myself from scratch. ^_^ Oh and I'm SUUPPEERR exited about sunday, I get to go to the Frist Golden Age of Couture exhibit. Apparently it's only going to be in Nashville, no well else in the country to lots of people are coming. One person in particular is Gertie, a famous sewing blogger, my friend emailed her cause they're getting a group together and I get to tag along!!! So Happyy!
Heres a link to the exhibit

OXY 10 My fav

I've been on a roll with the reviews lately, I have a feeling this is going to turn into a skincare blog lol. Well one of my all around favs is Oxy 10. It is 10% benzoyl perioxide, which is the stongest I could find. It works well for spot treatment but it can really some burn people. The only bummer for me is that it doesn't help with the smaller pimples, only when they get big. That and when I was a kid I was always getting in trouble because it can bleach out your towels. You can get it at pretty much every drugstore, and it only costs around 8 dollars. I even think it is a lot better than some prescriptions. It is one of the most commonly used creams. For super severe acne I do not think it would do much.
Pros
  • Cheap Price
  • Don't need a precription
  • Works Fast
  • Spot Treatment
Cons
  • Drying
  • Not for severe acne
  • Bleaches out towels
